Been upgrading my car for the past few days and shed over 100 grams.

Rebuilt the car to 19t specs for the indoor season, which means i've replaced the motor (Team Scream), speedo (LRP Pro Sport, the lightest and smallest 1:10 scale speedo LRP makes), reciever (Futaba FASST) and the servo (Futaba S9550), upgraded fully with titanium screws, Ti turnbuckles, 5 cell chassis. Car is down to 1389 grams without a personal transponter. Add that and it'll end up at 1400 give or take.
Lightweight bulkheads is on order and once they're installed, I should be close to the 1350 weight limit. Now, if only you could get Ti ball studs (there's quite a few of them in the car) and I would be able to get it under 1350. Still missing the Ti hinge pins and shock mounts, so still some weight to loose

You can see a portion of the new bulkheads (the motor area) in the Schumacher september newsletter.

And those are things these new packs can't get just by slapping on some extra mah and slapping on some bogus claim like "matched lipo".

Well, good luck with the new pack. And don't forget to share some pics with us after you've gotten the car ready.
thanks darkseid. if anything, at least i know there's someone who shares my frustration. .... some consolation huh? hehe ... its ok, i guess i'll just have to consider the Core Packs .... by the way, since you've usd both orion and core, and differences in performance? that might be off topics here so if you dnt mind maybe you can PM. thanks again! appreciate the time.

no worries at all. dint take it that way anyway .... as mentioned it wasnt really the size that was the problem but really the access to the terminals once sloted onto the chassis. oh well, just have to figure out what to di given my options. have a few IBs still so just to get tha car running i'll start using those first. thanks!

Angry Front driveshaft

Hey,

I went to drift at the club i just joined yesterday.

The MI3 is running 2 HD spools, so both front and rear.

He handled really wel.

But now after about 3 hours of track time ( all drifting), my front driveshafts are toast (or is this normal after 3 hours?). They are still the purple ones.

If i buy new ones, and they are the silver ones, will they holp up better?

or should i get the TIR shafts?

Otherwise this MI3 is GREAT!!!

Good job in vegas gentlemen.
