RcRaptor.....for Oval you probably want to run a stiffer right front spring and run the same spring on the left front and right rear and then a little softer of the left rear. That would be how I would start. I ran a Tamiya 03 on the Oval for a whole summer and thats how most of us set the cars up spring wise. We also ran a harder right front tire as well. The One-way should be good for the Oval. On a road course the One-way is faster most of the time unless you are on Foam tires. I hope this helps but this would be where I would start if I ran Oval with my Mission.

Hey all...

I got a SST Rally car coming from Les! and looks like I might be getting a Tekin ESC for it from the buy/sell/trade forum so I still need:

A reciever that works with Air/Sanwa on 75mhz and some spare SST parts...maybe a 'parts car' if the price is right. So if any of you have anything lying around.......

Another question, there is a guy in town here who had a Schumacher TC for sale...it was in pretty bad shape, but it was all there. The box, bunch of wheels and tires, some spare parts, etc. I might offer him $40 for it or something but I want to make sure it the 'same' as the SST Rally kit (its the Lancer Evo kit from racing-cars.com...though I dont have it in my hands yet). From what I remember the used TC didnt have an upper deck but some ball-cups and a threaded bar or something (thinking back a few months here...) is that the same car? Would the parts be interchangeable?

Thanks
Sean

sounds like the axis2. that's last year's car. it's awesome. almost everything is compatible with yours. not belts, motor mount, or the chassis. that's about it, though. if he'll part for $40, then you've got a great deal.

Default Foam Asphalt setup?

I've been doing some searching, and am having a tough time locating a Mission setup sheet for foam tires on asphalt. We have a fairly large club and allow foam tires. (CORCAR in Columbus) It's the ONLY way to go out here.

I've got a decent setup on it now, but was wondering if anyone had one specificly for that?

Also, is there somewhere with a lot of Mission setup sheets?

Default Foam Asphalt set-up

Front-

Shocks
blue springs- 45 weight oil
#2 upper mount- inner lower mount
Chassis
Arms centered
upper arms 2 spacers behind mount/ upper hole
stock swatbar connected
2mm droop
1.5 deg chamber
0 deg toe
0 deg inboard toe
Aluminum steering knuckles using low-ball option
CRC #2114 - Front F6 X-firm-Dual Comp-28mm

Rear-

Shocks
Blue springs- 45 weight oil
#2 upper mounts- inner lower mounts
Chassis
Arms centered
upper arms in upper hole
Stock swaybar connected
2mm droop
1.5 deg chamber
3 deg toe
0 deg inboard toe
Aluminum steering knuckles using high-ball option
CRC #2110 - Front F5 X-Firm-28mm

Body- Trinity Stratus
Steering EPA on radio between %40-%60 percent (60-80 on KO mars)
gearing 28/86 w/ 17 tooth pulley small indoor asphalt
27/86 w/20 tooth pulley wide open outdoor asphalt

These foams last longer than any other I have tried, If you do apply compound only do it once....EVER! and only allow it to set for 5 min. otherwise the cr will traction roll very extra severally!!

Otherwise no compound

This set-up works very well on the small tight indoor asphalt track and the large wide open parking lot track that I race on with the only modifications being gearing and changing the Steering EPA.

God I love this car!!!!!

ok, a couple of quick questions then...

Shocks:
Which piston location?
Any limiting?

Who's Oil?
Who's Springs?
(All Schumacher?)

Which one is the "stock" swaybar? I have about 6. =)

The stock sway bar is the one that comes with the car.

Default Kevin K.

I told him alright. I told him you said they sucked~ Just kidding. Doug knows you appreciate it!! How have you been doing on run time now???? If you're running electric and still having some trouble send me an e-mail at [email protected]. We have the fix now

Doug was looking pretty good with his Mission on the asphalt. It is amazing how much steering that car has with the shocks laying down. Crazy! We'll let you know how Sunday goes and might ask for some direction after racing.

Thanks for the help Kevin,
Rob Love
