The layshaft is lower on the EC than the std. Mi2. The layshaft mounts look similar, but they're not exactly the same. The old one's would not fit on the EC.

I'm hearing BMI will have something very special for the Mi3, but it might be so nice that we won't want to run it and get it dirty
