Hi Im new to the drifting thing and I just want to try to get some pointers and things that I should know! Im waiting on my kit but its the tamiya tb 02 kit and I will be running brushless so I just want to know a good set up and all the good stuff! LMK and you can pm me thanks!!

Keep it simple and look at a brushless system with a 13.5 - 10.5 motor.
Its ideal for starting out and smaller drift tracks. A motor heatsink is also recommended

thanks alot! What are the better tires to use? I got some 3racing drift tires but I read about some yokomo drift tires and are they that much better?

there is no better or worse.
Depending on your surface you have to select your drift tires.

T-Drifts for grippy smooth asphalt.
Super Drifts for loose no grip Parkin lot
PVC for Indoor High Grip Smooth concrete or carpet.

Stick to solid Tires no rings, comes cheaper last longer. Drift rings break easy. IMO
But some people like them better. Also Drifitng in open parking lot will bore you quick.
Try taking it to the track when no one is racing. Alot more fun and Harder.

It all depends on what you run on.
And Believe it or not these Hard tires do have different Grip Grades to them just like reag tires.
