converting ntc3 to electric ?

can you make a nitro tc3 into an electric tc3? and if so what do i need?

You probably could, but why would you want to?

For what it would cost you, you're better off buying an electric TC3.

$50, you can buy a TC3 ready to run with electric stuffs on it.

I'd look into buying a used TC3 - it would be cheaper, lighter, and would involve far less effort. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a rolling chassis in good shape with spares for under $100.:)

I have seen a few conversion chassis that will allow you to run NTC3 suspension and use electric drive train. One company that I know of is Xtreme Racing. Here is a link to their TC3 product page (http://www.xtremercracing.com/TC3_Ca...iber_Parts.cfm). You will see their conversion chassis using NTC3 suspension pieces.

The problem with any conversion type chassis/car is that is usually costs more than buying a RTR kit. However having owned a few conversion cars myself in the past, I liked driving something that was unique.

interesting i got an ol NTC3 lying around i was thinking about converting to electric probably going too build my own chassis out of Kydex or fiberglass. looks like that dang conversion kit is a wee bit on the pricey side a guy can buy a good TC3 roller or a TC4 roller for that matter for the same money. Unique is good if you have the money to spend.

A speed world record was boken with a NTC3 powered by some lipos couple years back, they say it had more room for the electronics.

I've wanted to reply earlier.......but......

the conversion is possible; not to be a wise guy , but with some considerable spending money "anything" is possible. I had jus' last night , come across a cooool "part" - when you get a chance , log onto EverythingRc.net, and as long as you not discouraged to this point, search this site for that which was termed as "a nitro-to-brushless, electric conversion" - the one piece may resemble something you may be interested in. For $90 , I know I am. Give it a try.-good luck & keep us posted on your endeavers.
