We submitted a number of escs to ROAR weeks ago and have not yet received approval (including our new, spec-only GTB2-X.) The only X-Drive esc that may be allowed by VTA would be our GTB2-X---all other X-Drive controllers have on-board timing adjustments. These timing features are not allowed in VTA.

So that leaves our other Spec-only escs: Mongoose, Edge 2S and this new Club controller. All priced under 100.00.

I would like to restate something that I have mentioned before: we want to offer easy to use, uncomplicated, affordable items for our VTA customers. At the same time, we also release performance upgrades for our Ballistic motors for other segments of racing---vented end-bells, alternate rotors, red-wire stators.

The higher the motor wind you are using (25.5T), the less performance impact from our premium Ballistic motor upgrades or the X-Drive.

We added the listings for our new Club Combo 25.5 and the Club ESC to our USVTA Store:

TeamNovak USVTA Store

Charlie is arranging with Rob to provide a Club Combo for evaluation.

I have a Novak GTB2 that I bought 2nd hand from a fellow VTA racer. Is there any way I can tell if it has X-drive on it?

Check back around page 5 or 6. Seems like this was discussed early in the year maybe April/May. If not contact Charlie or CS at Novak, I'm sure they'll be able to tell you quickly.

I've got a question for those of you who run a Novak Ballistic 25.5 and a Novak GTB2 ESC. Has your VTA ever stalled after rolling to a stop? For some reason my VTA will not move after the car has come to a complete stop. If somebody gives it a push it will go just fine. I have already run Novak's Hall Sensor Test™ on my GTB2 and all the LEDs show that the timing sensor is working 100%. I also swapped out the sensor wire just to make sure it not a wire issue. But the car still does not move from a dead stop! I'm just so pi$$ed off with it right now.

NovakTwo that's great you guys are keeping things simple but in the area of spec performance Novak seems to be lacking in VTA. There are speedos out there with much lower resistance at $59. As a long time customer of Novak products, I say this with the up most respect, could we please see a very small, low resistance VTA specific speedo that out specs your competition? I would like to see a $100 non programmable pulse, in a much smaller VTA package. There needs to be a high low end range of VTA. Saving $50 in the over all up start of VTA expense will not affect things.

I had a havoc esc do that to me. Switching to a new esc made the problem go away.

What is wrong with using a ESC in Blinky mode ? I run a Orion R-10 Pro in my VTA in blinky mode no timing or boost and it's still not legal ?!
