Default Esc KO BMC vs Tekin RS?

Looking for ESC for 13.5 carpet racing on a medium size track. Between the KO BMC or Tekin RS which does everyone recommend most?

For the money the Tekin.

It has more Software updates.
Getting the updates is easier.
Alot more people will be able to help you b/c there is alot more user support.
Its a little bit smaller.
And you are dealing with a American Based Company so you get in contact directly with Tekin Staff when you call in or email.

KO is Nice in some ways:
KO US HQ ships super fast.
Answer his email within 12hours.
thats what i like about KO so far LOL

Tekin Rs hands down due to the fact of free downloadable software, great team support, and the latest version is wicked fast. Oh and great customer support from Tekin.

I know the tekin bc its the most costs effective and can be updated very easily. but costs and customer support aside, is the performance between the two noticeable at all?

At the moment they aren't that far apart speed-wise (my friend and I have each one). The big difference is that Tekin has firmware updates for free via the web.
Look at it this way: Since I got my RS, LRP has had the Sphere, Sphere TC, SXX, SPX, and now another one I think. In that time Tekin have released new firmware that has made it just as quick, if not quicker, than all of those, and it ddin't cost me a cent!
You can get your BMC upgraded of course. You just have to remove it, post it away, wait a while, then reinstall it. While the Tekin guys plug theirs into the computer

On paper they are equal. with cons and pros on both sides.
Tekin = no fan less cooling more fets
BMC = Fan more cooling less fets

Handeling wise on stock software they are the same.
On upgraded software the tekin will have more punch and who know what you all can adjust on the tekin.

I never tried a KO, so no comment there, but here is what I can tell you.
I have a RSpro and my friend has a GTB. We both have LRP X11 10.5 Brushless installed in our xrays - same motor, same car.
my FDR: 6.5, his FDR: 5.8

I blew away my friend's car 1/3 into the straight (about 30m long) and I can keep the in field speed better than his gear ratio. Temp after 8 mins, my X11 is 50C, his is 60C. (outside temp is 20C'ish)

My RSpro is with v200. A newer v203 just came out with better customized settings and I will try that next time we hit the track. Like everyone said, all the software updates are free and can be updated within minutes of its release. THIS is customer support!

my suggestion: Tekin all the way.

Yes, the Tekin Team support is indeed the best I have seen.

Have not used the KO, but I wouldn't imagine is crap. I beat someone with a BMC at our track though.

The Tekin is nr 1.
Service, software and support on the forum. It's the best and they listen to what the users want and give us what we want.

So far some of above posted is true BUT Tekin has never lead this race always playing catching up to whatever is leading the charge I've own a tekin and now own a KO BMC 1.5 never been more happy. both ESC's can be updated via the internet its just a matter of track side support down here in Fla no one is using the tekin RS but the KO is doing very well down but it could be vice verus depends on where your located. Tekin has the new 203 version but MHO is that it finally on par with rest of the field. TO me the KO is the most powerful ESC on the market, you can run Mod of stock with the ESC.

With Tekin you can run also MOD and stock.
The V203 is so power full that the current KO is no match for it.
