Lipo charger thoughts
#2
i brought the Hyperion EOS0615i duo3
and i am loving it, it has two outputs, and can charge with 15 amps each..
it has balancer and everything you need and can also discharge at 10 amps, thats nice, because lipo's are best stored at around 60% capacity.. (has programs for that too ofc)
you can have realy complicated stats on you laptop via USB..
only downside is that it does require you to have a powersupply with you. but i think its worth it..
it can also be programmed to take care of "long leads" to your batteri so the resistance gets higher and it "false" peeks, not charging to full 4.2 volt per cell.. and you can firmware update it..
btw did i say its 2 x 15 amps charge..

I've got a GFX and have also been thinking about getting a smaller charger. It would be cool to charge two packs at once. How much $ is the Hyperion?

Look around, you can probably find them for $150 elsewhere. Charge/balance 4 packs at once if you want, though it's limited to 5A per charger. Nearly half the price of the Hyperion.

I highly recommend the ThunderPower 610c charger, I have two and love the size and built in balancer. I have noticed that they charge faster than my Orion Lipo charger, the Onyx 230 and the Duratrax Ice chargers. It will hold your charging amperage setting longer before throttling back the charge current when switching to constant voltage charge mode. I have seen this cut 10+ minutes off of the time to charge my 5000 mah packs compared to these other chargers.

Bought one of this. Capable to charge up to 10A while the balanced ports are all in built.
Checked the individual cells' voltage after balance charging and they are accurate to 2 decimal points.

I have the Orion race spec charger. It is small and has a nice bling effect in your pit area. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=ORI30127
