Default Foam Tire Selection for TC3, questions

Just got a couple of questions on foam tire selection:

1. I noticed there are compounds in green and blue that don't seem to be used much and hence are cheaper. Are these compounds just not good for racing at all?

2. What is the maximum size tire you can run on the front and rear of the TC3? I have heard that some tires are too wide to work properly.

3. Where is the cheapest place to order foam tires? Post the site and the price.

4. I am currently looking at a set of Tans and Cyans for my TC3 as I heard that our track isn't as grippy as the old track so purples and plaids are alittle too hard. Any thoughts on thos combo?

I think thats about it . Thanks!

You could also try Purple front, pink rear combo.

Thanks for the info. I picked up a set of cyan and tan tires . They should be in hopefully by the end of the week.

I probably will be running some used foams, purples and plaids tommorrow, will see how it goes.

It depends on the track and setup. People use it in stock at my local track and it seems to work fine.

I agree alot of it is track dependent. Plus, don't forget depends on your driving style too!

Plaid and purple tires seem to be the best general combo, they have worked great for me on a variety of tracks.

To keep the balence of front rear traction the plaid purple combo has, use cyan and magenta. It will be better for lower traction or tight tracks.

Note--I run only TRC tires.

For the tc3, up to 30mm rims can be used, but if you use the outer shock mounting hole on the arm, then you will hit the shock eyelet if the front wheels are turned all the way.
