LRP SXX StockSpec ESC

The new LRP SXX StockSpec ESC is coming in a few days....time for a new thread for this one....

....

sidecarphil1 01-07-2010 03:11 AM

i am looking forward to the feedback on this

i will need to upgrade from the SPX and the SXX is the easiest option

it will be good to see how it proforms against the Tekins and the GMs

i like my SPX but on the long outdoor straights it looses out a bit of top speed against the GM120 but on the infield it had more punch out the corners

Toh WL 01-07-2010 04:33 AM

What difference between the SPX & the SXX stockspec?

Chris Furman 01-07-2010 06:47 AM

Burito - are you back from vaca yet? Give is some more info please.

Toh WL 01-07-2010 07:01 AM

Is Burito LRP spokesman or saleman?

mac853 01-07-2010 07:42 AM

How about the stockspec combos, for the coincidence i am also interested with the new 13.5 motor.

Best regards

Burito works for LRP and has a lot to do with the ESCs they make... the inside... not the $$...

I've been running it with a 13.5 X-12 the past two days. It is an awesome ESC!

How does it compare to the Tekin and MMP? Does it have the top end? How about punch? How are each controlled?

Top end is equal or better but with some more testing for correct gear ratios and settings I feel it can be much faster. I am used to modified so punch is hard to determine but it is much better than "standard" ESCs. Guys who think that modified motors are too fast will probably think this ESC with 13.5 is too fast as well.

Chris Furman 01-07-2010 10:38 AM

How do the controls work?

ShaunMac 01-07-2010 11:43 AM

Firmware updatable?

This to me is the only flaw in the current line-up of LRP speedos. It's not practical to have to spend an additional $200 to get something that a simple "free" firmware update could achieve for your customer base.

Is there an ETA for the U.S.?

Thanks,

For what I now you can't update it so when there is something new, you must buy a new speedo.

No that is the "cheaper" version for mod (up to 4.5)
Then there is the SXX TC Spec which is the top model for mod
The SXX Stockspec is new and is coming out now in Jan
Then there are 3 versions of the SXX as you mentioned...

...

gashuffer 01-08-2010 12:36 PM

You know what they say. If you can't convince them confuse them:lol:

Dusttt 01-08-2010 03:54 PM

Probably a stupid question but I have an sxxtc is this not leagal in stock spec say 13.5?

What are the differences?

LRP80900 SXX COMPETITION SPEED CONTROL used in 12th and offroad
LRP80950 SXX TC-SPEC SPEED CONTROL used in TC or 4wd mod

LRP80910 SXX STOCK SPEC SPEED CONTROL use in any spec racing class
10.5t, 13.5t, 17.5t, etc. Has built in booster for use in 1s racing applications

This speed control is much more than just a software update.

Just had a long test session last night with the new speedcontrol SXX Stock Spec. I am only going to say this. HOW WRONG YOU ARE . Your sources do not know what they are talking about.

It is the best speed control i have driven period and yes i have driven a black diamond. That is all i am going to say about it for now. You will have to wait for snowbirds to see it in action i guess. I know i will have one in my 12th 10.5 and my world gt with 13.5
