I'm sure they know. As said earlier in this thread, some people have had their V1's updated to the latest software so that they can be end-user updated via USB.

Then the shops jumped on here, denying the whole thing. And LRP themselves have just ignored it.

Basically if you bought a V1, you bought a lemon. Now they want you to buy a V2 if you want one that works. Extremely frustrating if like me you bought one, and have had to send it back from Aus to Germany (cause the local importer is crap) for MK1, MK2, MK3... and it's still no good.

I've been using everything LRP since I started racing... this fiasco just changed all that.

I think your right on this one. I loved my SXX MKII the first 2 months it worked. After trying to sort out the problems with the MKIII without result I changed to hobbywing. I woud consider using it if I could update it and switch back to LRP. If not I will never buy anything again from LRP.
The club I race in there are at least 5 people ditched their SXX for the same reason.

IMO, if LRP and their distributors do not rectify this problem with the V1 SXX SS escs, they would lose a lot the customer base to other esc manufacturers out there. I for one had not success with the SXX SS (mk2) with 2S LiPo applications at all. I too have since switched to Tekin, and haven't looked back since. I really wonder how many racers have bought the V1 SXX SS escs?

I think most of the racers with a cogging SXX SS be it Mk1 or whatever, would be happy if the problem was fixed pronto. Keeping quiet about this issue only makes things worse as customers get very frustrated and will never return to the same brand product again. Take a look at the Spintec ICC chargers...

A lot of racers bought it. but many have sold him again. Or don't use it anymore. But as long as top drivers using it, there will always be people who buy it. but for the top drivers is easy. They are paid to use it. and if they have problems they just use a new one. Unlike us who see 250$ go up in smoke. I think the sales for the V2 won't even come close to the V1 but there will always be people that buy it because some topdrivers use it

So, now there is updates for speedos at LRP website. My question remains the same; Is it possible download SXX StockSpec V2: Firmware-Update v4.20 to SXX Competition V2 -speedo? In other words, replace SXX comp-speedos software by Stock-software?
