Been using the SXX with MK2 software, a Ballistic 17.5, 2 cell in oval pan car and the thing's been a rocket with no cogging or any other issues. Motor choice seems to be the biggest problem. Sounds like the Orion just will not work with the SXX!!!

i ran last nite an the motor worked perfect NO coggin at all an it was fast, so it was defintly the motor that cause the coggin issue that people are havein with this SXX Stock Spec, an i even ran with alil timin on the motor an it worked no issues at all, but my gearin was mid 6's to low 7's. started out wit a 6.40 an ended up wit a 7.11, my feel 7, an boost 9, thats high but just wanted to see if it would cogg, an yes the motor was hot bout 2sec touch rt off the track so not too bad. so hope this helps people out wit there issues with the SXX Stock Spec, so if you have a buddy wit a diff motor than yours see if he'll let you try it before you go buyin all kinds of motors to see what works. Oh an yes it will keep up wit the Tekin's

I wanted to post my 13.5 super stock truck setup in my T4:

profile 0-3-3-0 , 19-87 gearing, 4 dot timing insert.

I also ran the work capacitor setup 82531.

I agree the Mk3 isnt friendly at all with the orion motor. Was bench testing the motor and fiddling around with the motor timing + or minus all the way it would cogg at 3-5-5-0. Decide to go 3-10-0-0, it was ok but wasnt screaming as the tekin rs would. Tried it later with advance timing on 4 line and the highest my boost could go was 2, no cogg at all but dont think the power is enough to beat the tekin rs or even the xerun. This was done on the 11.5t orion. Am goin to test it on Team power 11.5t motor which has no adjustable end bell and let you guys know the result. I got the SS Mk3 due to LRP's claim that it would be able to give tekin a run for the money but sad to say it's not powerful enough... guess its money down the drain.

I have to say I am impressed with the Mk3 in a 1S 12th scale application.

Took a while to figure out how to catch up to the Tekin speed, but it can be done, and it is definitely on par, with both a LRP X12 13.5 & 10.5

Hey guys , do you find that you gain more speed by increasing the feel, is this like a punch setting? what difference have you noticed when increasing this setting and roughly how much does the motor heat increase per increment?

thanks

Am getting the Speed passion ver3.0 motor to test with the mk3. Have anyone tried it before and if you do, is it as good as the motor was on tekin and xerun?

Christian:
I don't have the instruction manual handy, but I do remember reading that something in the feel mode has to do with current limiting.

For me, the feel setting makes the car accelerate quicker, but does not change top speed, nor did the temp change

Akudou:
Never tried an SP motor.
However, with a Tekin 13.5 vs: LRP X12 13.5 comparison, I gained .3 secs a lap on LRP.

RedBullFiXX- At my side im running our stock class which utilise only 11.5T motor. Orion is cogging on my mk3 and eventho i have choices of tekin rs and hobbywings xerun, i dont wanna see the end of my mk3 just lying around and thats why i got myself the Speedpassion motor. Am rebuilding my ride before i get to test the mk3 on the speedpassion and Team power motor.

Default SXX

Hi all..
After much testing..I very happy with the SXX SS....Keeps pace with the Tekins, no worries.. Has "plenty" of brakes...Just got to get the FDR right..and its sweet.(mines at 6.6fdr-T3)...Used ALL the major players in motors (see previose posts), I found the Dou1 & 2 are the best....
Just dont go too mad on #3 setting..keep below 7.....or it just gets hot, but its FAST and will kill motors....

Trying the new Kinetic....Seems as fast, if not faster, and HEAPS of brakes...

Hello,

Could you tell me for the 10.5T what was your ESC setup and your rollout?

Thanks
