Try a higher FDR....Seems your on a largish track..same as ours...I found that using a higher FDR, lets the motor rev, runs cooler and no cogging..
I run between 9 and 10 FDR in 10.5...

More than likely the boost is too high or you are over geared. What motor are you using?

I know at the carpet nats guys using the duo motor were running 12th scales
boost 9 middle hole timing with 35/76 grearing with 1.68 tires 2.42 roll out. I'd go down a few teeth from there with wgt.

For the X12 motors I ran 43/80 boost 8 4 dot if I remember correctly.

this is with MK3, MK1 or 2 will be different settings.

oh man this Mk3 is awesome! Only took 3 of them though! LOL... AE did take good care of me on my first 2 though, so no complaints.

Ran x12 17.5 at 5.7FDR... 2 fans on motor by RW Workx, max temp 158F

5 feel and 7 boost. The thing was a rocket! and it only faded a tad bit at the last 2-3 laps.

I believe they also got better performance out of the Mk3, adjusted the profiles a bit, because with Mk1 and Mk2, the motor would overheat. The brakes are also excellent.

No.. now... I didn't have time to play with the x12 17.5FDR, has anyone else? 5.7 seemed good, but there is "always" room for improvement!

Don't forget to add the Mamba Max Pro. I'm as fast as anyone on the straight with a 13.5, be it Tekin, GM or LRP SXX stock. I'm also gearing further and further down because has too much punch!

The thing about the Tekin, GM and Mamba, is that they're all updatable and eventually all will have that extra full throttle feature. Even the Ezrun esc is very fast! If you dont want to mess around with settings on a laptop, then the SXX stock is the one to have, as it leaves you with more time to setup the chassis.

Chicky, you say the V2 and V3 settings are different.
In 1/12 I am running X12 10.5, 4dot, V2 on 0,7,6,0 and 50mpr
If I went to a V3 what should I change?

A new challenger has arrived!

Seriously, though, if this ESC gains firmware updates, that would restore some much-needed parity to this newly changed game.

Has anybody come up with new settings for rubber sedan with mk3 for the different popular motors? Thinking 17.5 with x12, DUO & SP 3.0.

They are slightly different. You will have to go up on the profile more than likely but I would start with what you have and go step by step.
