Default MORE RESULTS

Well another Sundays racing has passed and the more we run the XPS the more we discover!

Over a six minute race on a tight circuit with limited long big straits with more testing every day the better the results we get.

This time around the results are : One of my better runs.......I'm too ashamed to show the crappy ones . Driver needs coffee!

Renato 20 laps, 6m 6.002s, 18.238 best avg, 17.343 best single, 0.76 cons, Personal Best 3rd.

The result is still only good for a B main finish as having to get to drive against others using ESC's with Turbo and Punch equipped is a challenge but rewarding. The track layout is shown below for reference.

Getting better results with better driving and better setups on the ESC. Which are as listed below.

Car : Serpent S400, dialed. Honestly it was! Driver needs to get his act together!
ESC : XPS Sport, super smooth.
Motor : Tekin 17.5 with timing wound up to 24 DEG

ESC settings :

1-1
2-1
3-3
4-1
5-6
6-4
7-2
8-9
9-9
10-3
11-45

FDR used on this track 7.39 with Mazda 6 body. Temp after last run 75 DEG. ESC and motor were both running fans. Air temp 17 DEG. Surface 24 DEG. Batteries used with similar feel and available power Bionic 4000 40C and YUNTONG 5000 40C. Capacity accepted on recharge after runs 50% of original capacity.

Next new update will be hopefully a run using the TEAM POWERS motors.

Until then.

Cheers

Ren

Running the same setups as above with a TEAM POWERS 17.5 and a FDR of 5.5. Temping motor was showing 64 Deg with goods infield speed and a well setup chassis allowed good constant laps to clock the 21 lap pace with the XPS and Powers 17.5.

^^ I've got one of them, it isn't fitted yet but it's a nice little speedo, machined alu case, even the switch is in a machined alu case. There is even a spare fan connector built in to the esc Testing will commence soon.

The ESC Totally exposed Naked and NUDE !!!

Sorry Steve -_- I couldn't help it xD (Best regards from Houston)
But no worry Its 100% Functional after Reassemble !!!
And no I will not send it in for Warranty ROFL, Love this lil bugger too much at the moment, bc it works so well.

The ESC is very smooth !!! I was able to make as Punchy as Tekin or super smooth as a Speed Passion (RS and 2.1GT which i own)
Heat wise the case will tell you know its true internal Temps since it directly transfers them outwards, making the ESC being able to withstand hotter temps than other plastic case ones. And the fan will be able to cool the ESC better. Especially how its build.

The Field Programmer is definitely Higher Quality It Even Beeps at you, once you set your settings. The handheld programmer is better than than Speed Passions latest Field Programmer(Which is complete Useless in quality, they should have stayed with GT2.0 style programmer and USB adaptor). Feels very SOlid and compact and doesnt fall apart like SP newest.

What i am wondering is if this esc is able to access the ramping and turbo just like the RS compared to the RS Pro in teh future. Which would be awesome. And maybe Firmware updates with a USB programmer that be awesome also.

But then I understand that this unit suppose to be for Sport level.
Cant wait to get my hands on the Pro version !!!

We are still finalizing testing of the team powers motors LOL
Then more insight on this ESC, But so far I am Loving it for its price and Quality.

So Far Optimizing it for a small tight track, it can keep up with Speed Passions RS And any other ESC out there as long its not turboed. And again I do hope in the future the Sport being able to do turbo also. Like the RS in the Tekin like being able to utilize turbo also but you just cant go as low in turns as with out turbo.

The Pro will be out later this year.
I think they trying to get the software right to comply to Roar Rules.

At the moment only EL and Sport are available.

But even the sport is well worth it !. This case is like solid Metal its awesome !

Below are images of the Plutonium Motor V1 17.5t

I am actively Running and testing a Plutonium 17.5t 12.5mm Rotor V2 Sensor.
With my Team Powers ESC Sport. And i definitely love the power output and smoothness. If you get a low turn motor the stock rotor is Fine but if you want to run stock with a 13.5-17.5 i advice 12.5mm rotor. I have never used Higher turns beyond that so i can not comments on 18.t and up. From what i seen other people say the fast 6.t etc etc run fine as is.

All Team Powers motors, both the Spurt version and the Plutonium versions are currently ROAR approved with the exception of the Spurt 21.5, Plutonium 10.5, 13.5 & 21.5. These will be ROAR approved this year. As for the Pro version speed control, we are hoping to get the first units for testing by the end of June.

Any questions or orders for any of the Team Powers products in the USA, please contact [email protected]

Here is the link to the ROAR approved brushless motor website. You can download into an excel file that you can sort if you like.
