That is the key question but no one will know until someone gets it and tries it out. Until then it looks pretty and sounds trick but that means nothing.

Default XPS sport

Hi all,

Well the results so far are good For the XPS Sport.

2WD buggy mod (Schumacher) with 10.5 Tekin recent Keilorrcc Interclub (Australia) finished 4TH. Very good punch out of corners with incredible pace on straits. Happy with outcome on its first outing.

TFTR Club (Australia) day on 8-08-10 in 1/10th tourer 17.5 class getting used to set ups, traffic and brain fade capable of 20 lap pace (within top 6 A main pace). Short of speed but good infield punch (motor and gearing guess with ORION Motor !) showed very good temps of 57C with fan at the end of 6 minute race. Capacity from 5000mah 40c LiPo showed required recharge to full of 2400mah.

More info to follow after next race meeting. Hope this helps.

So far performance from these ESC's is showing to be very good and we are very happy with their ease of setup. Time will give us better and improved results once we sort out settings for different motors and running temps at the tracks we run at.

Cheers

Ren

Default NEW INFO RE GEARING FOR XPS-SPORT

TEAM POWER XPS-SPORT

As discovered in a recent TC meeting running the XPS-Sport with a 10.5 Redline motor.
Recommended gearing was not working to be in a position to be competitive with any stock ESC with turbo available. After much tests using various variants in FDR for TC 10.5 class, an FDR ratio of 8:1 proved to be the best for control and speed with the ESC providing a very smooth/linear feel to throttle and controllable punch out of corners. Speed as well was way up compared to previous attempts. Temps stayed within workable parameters as well.
Surprise was an understated feeling.

Some more runs this weekend coming and more results will be posted. If this continues to be the base we will post the outcomes here for more drivers to test.

Not to forget, the same conclusion for 2WD off road was attained showing the XPS-Sport ESC to be as competitive in MOD class even for the base fact that power control was very smooth. This allowed better control of the car in low traction conditions. More to follow.

Basic facts of the TC setup (more info to follow) run at SERCCC track.
TC used : TC5
ESC : XPS-Sport
FDR : 8:1
Timing on motor : 0 deg
Timing on XPS : 45 deg

Thanks go to Nigel (TC) and Grant (2WD OFF ROAD) for the updates on testing and setups.

Cheers

Ren

I can tell you my team powers 10.5 with my tekin is very rapid and can keep pace with rest if my driving permitted - lol. I find the motor works best with +2 on the timing of the motor. This removes some of the torq keeps and the motor smoother allowing it to rev much better not to mention it's also BRCA approved. I will also be submitting 17.5 and 13.5 to the BRCA for approval shortly...
