19 Turn?

19 Turn?
Okay. We just started a 19 turn class here for touring cars. I know some places run them already, but nobody around here does. I bought a bunch of 19 turn motors from one of the oval racers here, but they all need new brushes and stuff like that. I was thinking of running Reedy 767's since that's what I run in my stocks. Anyone have any experience with them? What about springs? Any other suggestions?

I sold a bunch, maybe it was to you. I would suggest Putnam brushes, Blue Negative, Green Postitive, this is how I get the most performance out of my motors.

I bought mine from a guy here. He was selling them for $20 each. I cut them today, and one of the comms was completely gone. Oh well. Anyways, what springs do you reccomend? Most of these have the Paradox springs (red +, green -). But I have seen some people using some black springs on both sides. Of course, nobody I talked to would actually say what they were running. You know how people are....

Never mind, I sold mine alot cheaper than that. I would recomend two black springs, a blue putnam on negative, and a green putnam on positive. That is how I tune all of mine for 4cell Oval, and they are extremely fast.

I deffinitely think that the Brushes would work. Try the black springs(possibly tweak the positive spring so it is slightly harder) or try a Purple positive spring and black negative spring, or two purple springs. That would be your best bet.

I thought black was the same as green, but at an increased angle, so slightly heavier...Purple is the heaviest of the lot...Or am I wrong? (Trinity springs)

The way I understand it is Blue, Green, Red, Black, Purpl, Silver
