Default Engine questions and speed controls

I'm brand new to the sport, I haven't even got my 1st car yet, but am planning on doing micro rs4 for some indoor carpet racing. I'm figuring out what I'm going to need for my parts box and was looking for some input on what type of engines and speed controls I may want to have in it for when I eventually blow one up.

Thanks for the input

Novak, Tekin, Losi, Castle and others make brushless speed control and motor combos that will work in that.

Maybe check in your area to see if the Micro RS4 is being raced there.

Many have moved on to things like the RC18T for indoor carpet racing.
