We have since gone into tooling so the car is much more precise, and the drivetrain "problem" (if you can call it that) has been fixed. We had a problem with belt skipping early on but since changing to a new belt tensioner it has gone away.
Glad to hear that, but did you only change the tensioner, or also the diffs as the test driver and the designer of the car advised you ? I'd like to see the new design of the drive train though.

Yup! We're going to go with 25t diffs for an improved final drive and less skipping. The other diff worked with our new tensior too, but like you said, the 25t is a better combination. Do you know the PTI team in france?

I went to the Corally race with Yoann 2 weeks ago.

25T diff pulleys ? Sounds too small for me

Of course they're working on a new car. Think about it... They need more carpet wins under their belt with the growing popularity of carpet racing AND this car out of the box is, I believe, the heaviest of them all... It's a freaking tank. I love the car, but c'mon, the team drivers are doing everything they can to cut weight such as leaving the back bumper off, milling the chassis etc... They definitely have something up their sleeve.

I would be wiling to bet that they are working on something but who isn't? Unfortunately we haven't seen anything yet.

One thing is for sure, if the powers to be keep on thinking of putting the droop screws in the bumpers (like the current design) there are going to be a lot of pissed off people. That is one thing I would change now. At least give us two options and let us choose which one to use.

Did you ever stop to think that they would be out of there minds to do something like that as it would decline alot of there sales.

Of course there is a new car coming however i guarentee you it will not be released before the worlds

if u plan on building a new car but u want it to be able to beat some of the high end cars u need to know how the high end cars work........how they handle how reliable they are..........it is all part of the R&D in building a new car.....more so if u really want to beable to win the bigger races.........and like i said before that might be why they are trying to keep it a big secret.......it was just my thoughts
