TRESFR-Nice try on taking that picture yesterday

We are always testing new stuff and Socal is a great place to test since that track is so demanding. There is no plans on coming out with a new car. Why should we....our existing car has been doing really well. Like I said, we are always testing and that is part of a car manufacturer of any type or scale. There are a lot of things tested that never make it to the hobby shop shelf. So have fun speculating all you want. Its fun to read!

So Todd, when I open my carpet track in San Diego, will you guys come down to test?

I thought a lot about designing a TC with the battery down the middle; I really liked the Pro 3 concept before it came out but I think it was poorly executed. Having that large of a weight in the centerline should give the car incredibly quick transition from side-to-side -- the majority of the weight has less distance to travel -- but I wonder if there is a point where it's too fast. It always seemed like some of the Pro 3's flex problems came from that very problem: perhaps the chassis wanted to pivot quicker than the suspension could "catch up" to, causing more torsional flex than we'd normally see.

Then again, I never drove the car so I really have no idea. But I still think the battery-down-the-center is an interesting area to develop.

Sure there are plans to release a new TC....

Plans to release an even better car in the distant future on a very non-specific date.

Haha...

I wonder if chevy is working on a new vette?

futureal. I've wondered the same thing. Would longer arms and camber links calm that down, if that's the case?

Always wanted to drive one of those kx-ones from Kyosho. Butt ugly, but the mass is so centralized.

Default New Losi Touring Car Spied

Guys;

I hate to say it but the story IS True.

TL has been seen testing at local tracks with this new Car. No one has been able to get a close look at it without the Towel (literally) being thrown in (on it).

What I personally saw from a distance, was Belt drive, Double deck, woven Graphite Chassis. It also looked like they were testing with a Brushless Motor in it.

First, the new vette is ugly, i saw a quick pic of one, looks like dodge and chevy both thought the same way, the vipers ugly, the vettes ugly.
second: I used to run a pro3(hence my name), and the flex was unbeleiveable. The car was good on asphalt, but on carpet it just couldn't stay planted through the turns. Yes, so i guess the new losi will be like the pro 3 with the fibre chassis, but please have it be single belt, 2 belts suck, and make it easy to get the battery outa there, i hated that pro3, really.
Third: I bet the chassis won't end up being a flat fibre plate, thhats just for testing.

I wonder if Hodge had to take any classes on dealing with the general rc public on issues like this.

O kay, I haven't checked this post till now cause I was at SoCal yesterday, and yes I saw them testing it too. Didn't see that much in the way of details, but it did seem to handle well. Who knows if it means a new car, or just more R&D, but it did drive well.

He has an agent already and has had media training. I am sure he will do just fine.
