I have heard that the European 12 turn rule is going to be droped.
Any light on that?

I've heard this too, but not sure how much fact is in this.
It surprises me a little as I thought this to be a good rule, that in my view would be well inforced in some club meets here in Australia, and around the world.....

If this is true, maybe they feel that the European drivers may not be as competitive at a worlds level due to the use of the "slower" motors in europe....

I heard this as well, and I think it's because since they have to strain the 12 turns so much to go fast that they're blowing up quite frequently. My guess is they'll go with a 10 turn rule like here in the US with ROAR.
