Already posted in the Mi4 thread. Pretty sad really. You get what you pay for from what ive read. The MI4 LP is the bomb. Not this rip off.

Ya know with all of these clones coming out, wouldn't it be just as easy to design a "new" TC and sell it for <$250. Then at least you wouldn't be looked upon as a scammer. It's not like it would be hard to design a TC when most are similar in design...

They copied a car that was designed by somebody else. At lease re design something on it. If people want to get into racing all a car like this is gonna do is turn them off, since the part's are gonna suck.

it's not that simple. people don't realize all the things that are compromised to get to a kit that sells at half the price. the c/f (if it is) is usually junk. it will flex and screws will pull through much easier. the aluminum is often some 20XX grade, that starts as pot metal. retweak the top deck a few times, and next you know, you're getting out the heli-coil kit. apply the same thought process to other materials, and unless you're looking for a shelf queen, it's not worth the initial savings.

how good do you think the plastic is? if the arms flex, it's going to handle like junk in most applications because you have no control over castor. (recall the ae team guys filling their arms with jbweld before the stiffer arms came out for the tc5?)

all this said, the setups won't cross over in the least either. ... so you'll have to wait for 'the factory team' to make some for this car.

add to that, that when you copy a design, you have no money wrapped up in paying the original designers. times are tough, but don't let your integrity slip away by rewarding the guys who stole the cad files, and farmed out the manufacturing to sweatshops overseas.

we wonder where all our jobs went ... and we're paypalling li wong fu $250 for our new MiFo.

Would love to but after the snow storm we had around here, Chinese restaurants were the only ones open.

And I'll take an order of General Tso's chicken.

So is Tamiya and Xray. So far the only touring cars that they haven't copy yet are the American designed ones(AE & Losi).
