adjust the ball differential for M03 ??
Hi there,
Who can tell me how I adjust the ball differential for M03. How tighten or untighten the nut in the ball diff for a smooth ride.

and add some more loctite to the middle bolt

Maybe good for drifting, but not for racing. You need a limited slip in the diff for a lot of steer.

If you will get off of your high horse and build the way Tony suggested, you will find that you will get a smooth, limited slip diff. My suggestion would be to try it, before saying it doesn't work.

Out of curiosity, did you try the diff build that Tony suggested???? Almost all of the really fast guys around here use some variation of his suggestion for their Minis. Incidentally, our local group has had the last three TCS Mini National Champions for the USA. Also in touring cars on certain surfaces, they will use a spool to replace the front diff.

Anybody running M03 with completely locked front diff ? Is this setup can lower lap times ? better exit power ?

So if you tighten the crap out of the ball diff, does it give you posy? Do you want that with the M05 as well? I put 300k diff oil in the stock diff and it gives me posy. Is that what I want?

Firstly, no idea what posy is, so can't help you there.
I think you'll find that the diff grease you have used in the gear diff will make it's way elsewhere after a few runs-the diffs dont seal well at all.....
Lastly, as others pointed out, build the diff as per instructions, include the tips from tony, and go race it. 99% of all the fast guys I know of build their diff the same way.
