Default few Q and A

hi all
first thing i've run the car a few times now outside only
hand trouble with ride height as well all know due to wrong springs
i received the correct springs thnx the 3racing ride height and handling were both better however had issues with droop not enough on the front or rear really
i had the same thing happen with the rear off the car snapping out mid corner made a few changes to the car the best thing was 3 deg rear block also made adjustment to rear sway bar as well seem to settle it down

i have found a good balance now using tamiya shock body with the zero piston shafts and all the pink bits using the black kit spring on the front and tamiya short white spring on the rear
im able to get down to 4mm ride height all round with more an enough droop
upto 10mm if u remove screws all the way

must say the dust covers for the diff are a bit pants ive managed to fit xray ones to it
as for the talk off the 416 front shock tower fitting i have tried two now and neither fit correct with out having to mill the tower Grrr which i don't want to do
what are the difference with the narrow suspension holders thats due out
also this gear diff ya all talking about can someone point me to a pic somewhere i have the roller diff on order ?

i wonder why the weight causing that? is the motor weight (66g) it too heavy? which way does it snaps? right turn corners or left turn corners? i just tested this car on asphalt track and having oversteer only with right turn corners. Before this I race this car on carpet and it was spot on, left and right steering were equal, no snaps or oversteering.

My car is balance using 20g weight on the batt only, steering throws are set equal on Hudy station, tyres use normally Sorex 40 and Sweep 36exp. Ironically, my 416X(incl 416WE and my friends' 416s) oversteer only to the left corners only which i never managed to solved by set up.

I got the prices off the RC Market site. 3R Aluminium Ball Diff for 416 US$14.90, whereas the equivalent parts for the Sakura Zero add up to $27.89. Of course, more than these components are needed for a complete ball diff (bearings, balls, pulley, etc).

It would be nice if 3Racing did a cheap diff kit for the Sakura Zero like they do for the 416...

Use IE not Firefox, Firefox does not work on RCmarket except for browsing. I did that last night found everything I needed then realized I was in Firefox so I had to do it again in IE.

Default Let's play a little game...

... can you spot the non-Sakura parts?

A little closer so you all can see

Still can't tell? How about now?

"Why?" you ask? Well I had a race this past weekend and my parts didn't make it on time, so I had to improvise a bit. Everything worked out well on the asphalt. I just might end up keeping it this way. I think I'll call it "Sakumiya!"

You found a good number of them! I am using Sakura knuckles tho (those held up surprisingly well).

During the last race I hit a board that was sticking out pretty hard. The hit managed to snap the aluminum swingshaft at the joint, split the plastic spool cup, broke a front arm, and snapped a ball connector on the bellcrank entring a sweeper at full throttle.

My other car is a 416 so I had a bunch of spares on hand to do some frankensteining:

1) Low Friction ball cups - the stock cups had a little too much slop for my liking
2) 46mm Steel Swing Shafts
3) Steel Spool Cups
4) Reversible Front Arms
5) 416 C-Hubs
6) Fluorine coated flanged sleeves & balls - Stock sleeves are too thin, too much slop in the 416 C-Hubs
7) 416 Rear Shock Tower mounted on a set of Sakura front bulkhead uppers - the tower has the center notch in case 3Racing ever releases the chassis balancing station
8) TRF Fluorine Shocks in the rear with Sakura caps & ends
9) TRF Short Damper internals and shafts in front with Sakura shock bodies, caps & ends - the short TRF shafts are a tad longer than the stock ones, gave me a bit more droop that was needed in front
10) Hard 5mm ball ends in the steeing bellcrank

I also have a front 416 tower and the other 2 TRF shocks that I will porbably try out this weekend. I'll see if I like it better than the short front/long rear damper setup the car has now.
