I've had both the TC3 FT, and currently XXX-S GP, both are very good cars. With my TC3 my main problems were: my chassis tweeked around the motor area, steering rack would jam if the smallest of pebbles entered the area, front knuckles would strip out easily, other than those few items this car was a rocket, and fun to drive. I had a few a-arm breakages, but who doesnt? The XXX-S is new to me and I havent had any issues yet, I have seen a few guys break arms but that again was simply going 20mph and hitting stuff. I can honestly say if Id had to choose right now the XXX-S would get my vote since its a car that will be around for a few more years, its newer, and losi is improving it with the new belt kit.

New belt kit meaning you have to go buy it extra right?

im looking for a kit im going to get a store one unless i can find a kit on ebay.

what do you think i should get. im going to save up about $130 - $160. what kit should i get for around that money. maby a little more like $175 or somthing if i have to. all i need in the kit is well the car a body and Tires. Because i know some kits dont come with tires and a body. do you guy know where i can get somthing for about that price?

how much are those Xray car kits i have not really looked in to those.

The xray kits run about the same price as the Losi XXXS G+ and the Factory team TC3s. If you are talking about $160, a used kit bought from Ebay is about the only thing that will get you in that ballpark. But usually you still need the radio/electronics. So keep that in mind. The new belt kit for the Losi car is only $20. So it's not much. All it does is make the drive system move with less drag, which will make it accelerate faster and maybe get a little more top speed. If you are not racing the car, it's not something that is an absolute must.
When it comes to Ebay this is what I do. Anything I buy on Ebay I search the person's feedback just to see if they are known for mis-representing things/shadey dealings. I usually don't buy from first time sellers or people who don't post pics. Having pics of the merchandise are highly reccommended. By using those rules, I haven't been burned yet.

As far as my choice on kits I decided to go with either the XXX-S G+, or the Yokomo SD CGM. I have had experience with Yokomo kits though, and I wouldn't reccommend them for beginners. The XXXS is more beginner friendly of the two. For me, I just have to figure out if the CGM is worth having, eventhough parts will be a lot harder to find on hand at my hobby shop.
The only reason I chose this way is that I am not a beginner to RC But I am a beginner in TC racing. I felt those two cars would not be overly complicated and problematic, but still enable me to be fast when racing, without having to modify or buy a whole bunch of upgrades.

Just bought a TC3 off ebay comes with the following:

3 matched 2400 packs
3 practice packs ( not sure what type though )
TC3 with all graphite upgrades, started as TC3 runner
5 pairs of sorex tires
LRP Runner ESC
Chameleon motor
P2k2 motor
Lynx Sport Radio
JR Servo
2 bodies

got it for $165 shipped. Have to see if I want to race it though since I may move soon to an area with no indoor track. I may sell the car and some of the stuff too. If interested drop me a message and I will let you know when it comes in.

Say plenty of XXXS standard vehicles ( not new mind you ) for 75 bucks. But honestly the stock XXXS needs some things to get going right.
