I'm starting to think it is because AE is concentrating more on they're RTR lines.

Mike, can you find out the setup Barry was running at the RD Logics race for me? I've heard it was red/red w/no swaybars. If that's true I would also like to know his camber link locations and shock oil. I guess droop and shock locations too, but don't worry about the stuff like clutch springs and gearing.

Thanks man, see ya soon!

Mike,
I know your not an asphalt guy, but I figure since your getting ready for the Reedy race you might have an asphalt setup that works. I can't seem to get any mid corner rotation out of my car. I've played with roll center and castor, and also shock location. I can get good turn in, good on power steering (it hugs a sweeper like mad) and good exit steering with a spool but it pushes like a tank mid corner. The car turns in hard, dies mid corner, and then whips around on power out of the corner. What can I do to get more rotation?

My setup is...

Front
3,3 roll center shims
black ball studs with no washers on inside turnbuckle
silver springs
shocks all the way out on tower and arm
outside hole on steering blocks
1/8 washer under ball studs on bellcrank
two shims forward, one shim back on wheelbase
Spool
Silver swaybar

rear
silver springs
shocks all the way out on tower and arm
3,3 roll center shims
silver ball stud with 1 washer
one shim forward, two shims back on wheelbase
Silver swaybar
2 degree toe

I'm just at a loss as to what to change to get rotation. like I said, the steering is great everywhere except mid corner

Thanks

Thanks Mike. How bout the gearing for a monster stock pro, assuming the diameter of the foams you gave.

D-ames.... Try taking off the sway bars first then play with washers under the front camber links we usually run .060 with a silver ball stud....

edseb no idea really.. since i do not run stock that much it would be a guess .. maybe somewhere like 33-35 100...

bigdog... no i have not...... :-( he needs to get on here more hehe....

hey mike do u have any good setups for BMI tc3 rite now im running

purple/ copper 60 oil front 40 rear #2 pistons
front shock tower ( rear on front) middle hole and on the arm inner hole

rear shock tower runing on middle hole and on the arm on the outer hole

ball cups on the front runing short and low
ball cups outside long and high
5 droop front 3 rear
5 ride hite all aroud
3 degree camber rear
1 degree camber in the front
double pink orange jaco front foams
doubble pink rear jaco rear foams
its a small ozite carpet very inside track.

the rear slides a lot on thsi car i tried going down to red springs in the rear it seems that the 3 degree camber in the rear helped big time but i don't think that i should have to run that much camber.

if you could please give me a decent setup for the car today i am going to try white purple springs and 70/50 oil shooting in the dark. HELP thanx..
