TeamButter... Now were is that man.... Yell at me sometime... mblack41266 is my aim handle...

WVRACER.... I use IRS pod plates to lower the rear axle to run smaller tires and a different top plate that do's not flex under acceleration.. Other then that everything is stock....

Doug D... I ran barry's setup at the novak race when my car was good, the other times... As for anti-dive.. Yea we run some ... And it do's exactly what is says takes some dive out of the car when entering a corner...

Barry.... Post your setup on here for all too see...

Mike... Thanks... The change was way too drastic.... I can see shimming for a small change but it's rediculous.... I'm going back to the AE hubs, although the losi might be good on a low bite surface....

Default Roll Center Blocks

Mike,

On the roll center blocks. I notice that the manual lists that for low roll center flat, the front is 0 and 0 but for the rear it is 2 and 2.

Can you exlain why this is? I am just curious as to why it is not the same front and rear.

Also Barry could you please post your setup, I am curious as to how your car was setup with Copper/Red springs and how it drove.

Thanks,

Default Setup/Assembly

Mike,

I recently acquired a 12L3 in a trade and I am having a devil of a time getting the spur and pinion on. I am down to a 75 or 72 spur gear and still can't get a pinion on the motor. There is not enough room with nut on the tbar preventing me from moving the motor any further away. My offset is a 2 but my ride height is a little low from what I have been reading at 3.5. Do I need a different offset, remove the nut on the tbar, what do I need to do?

I notice in your setup sheets you are able to use 100 teeth spurs gears, how do you get the room?

Help!

The 100 tooth is a 64 pitch spur gear and the 72 or 75 that you are talking about is 48pitch.
The difference is that 64pitch is a finer adjustment than 48 pitch.

I will let Mike explain the rest

I understand the difference between the 48 and 64. The reason I tried a 75 and 72 was because I they take smaller pinions. I have more smaller 48p than I do 64p pinions. I still can't figure out how to get more room back there. The pros obviously have since they run 100p spurs.

Ohh...I'm sorry

You can also try using a lower profile nut on the center screw...But I know that when I run a 100t spur that i can usually fit a 30t pinion. Most all 1/12 drivers use 64pitch though.

What size pinion are you trying to fit?
