Mike...Out of curiosity....Would you be able to reach inside the "reject box" and possibly take pictures of any "prototype" TC3's there were before the final version that we drive now came out. If possible could you post any pics or drawings of any "failed" designs Associated made?

I'm just interested in seeing stuff that the company tried before the final product

Thanks -Dan

Wency_TA03R-PRO.. I only run one-ways when i have too.. But it seems those times are fewer and fewer since we are now using a spool or locked front diff alot more then ever.. I prefer that over the one way.. I also use regular diffs on carpet , no one way or spool for me there.... I wish i could help you more with this .. But for me one-ways are a pain in the A$$....

UnderDaHill.. Yep those are reciever pack cells... I run them to make my steering faster so it feels more like my touring car.. It has not relation to the capicitor on the speedcontrol...

RC Paperboy.. Right now my best carpet tire is double pink front and a harder pink rear .. This seems to be the best at the moment..

The Black Kat.. I have no such pictures.. I joined the team at the 2000 worlds in japan and that was the first time i drove the car... Wich i could help ya there....

I'm sure this has been asked before but what setup did you use for the Pre Worlds/Reedy race with the CS-27 tires?

DUDE...Stealth diffs ARE Ball diffs. Its just a name Associated gave their ball diffs

There are:
Ball or "Stealth" diffs
One-Way diffs
& Spool's

Default Chassis Brace

My question to you is:
Have you ever run a top brace(from diff to diff)on the stock chassis..and if you have what do you think it does,i was wondering if its worht getting or at else tiring to see if it helps the car in anyway,on carpet or blacktop.

Thanks Curtis

Hello Mike,

Bad luck at the Roar Nats. I thought for sure you would take it out.

Would you be so kind as to post your 1/12th setup from this meeting.

Thanks

Mike BlackKat says:

Only under conditions where the car has such a bad push you have to use reverse to get through the turns

The one-way adds a rediculous amount of steering in a TC3. Also I have this theory that the TC3's drivetrain is so free that even if you let off the throttle the car rolls long enough so if you have a one-way encouraging the roll of the front wheels it just causes the car to spin out....
