hey mike whats up? I have a question. My older brother has a Reedy Ti modified 9T motor. What pinion gear and spur gear should he run. Cause he doesn't want to burn the motor up.

Thx

Mike,

You said awhile ago that AE has the newer diff cases that don't need to be milled/dremeled out. But I've still heard they need a little bit of work to get really freed up. What do you think?

Mike,

Do you run the standard chassis on the L4 or are you trying a more flexible chassis for the ashfelt tracks?

Brian McGreevy... I have done nothing to the new diff case's.. I put them on and run them without any problems.. Maybe people are shimming them wrong ?? But so far mine have been fine...

John Tag.. It is the same as the old one's .. It was a running change that they made.. I am pretty sure 99% of the new one's are them...I think they changed the mold into something were they are all the same and no wear etc..

Mike,
Thanks for the input on the chassis. I will be looking for your setup after this weekend. I will need all the help I can get on the 1/12th car at the worlds so I hope you don't mind me bouncing a few questions off you.

ah ok.. one more question I would like to know if the differrentials on team kit tc3 out of the box are both ball diff or bevel type diff?..
If it was a ball diff you mean it uses ball diff front and rear gear set??.. If so what would be the advantage of using front and rear ball diff??.. compare to a front one-way gear set with ball diff at rear??..

I was looking at some of the 1/12 scale setups you and the other top guys run and noticed that you have what looks like 6 small batteries mounted in your RC12L4.

Are those capacitors? If so, why do you use them in addition to the larger one you already had hooked to the esc?

My first guess is that they are a some sort of receiver pack.

Either way.... what is the reasoning for using them?

Is the hot new JACO tire setup for 1/12 purple front with pink rear for mod? This is for carpet.

I ask because Ive been running 19T, and it seems to be a toss up between grey and pink. They feel very similar, but the pink seems to hold up all 8 minutes, while the grey goes away. But the grey feels easier to drive in the first half.

As far as I know ball diffs that comes with the box are the stealth diffs. Im perataining to ball diffs that works on the tracks that when your car runs on corners/curves it won't decreased/slow down its acceleration/speed...
