Mike
I have a mystery now.
I worked the motor over again, aling brush hoods, skimmed the comm, shinned the brushes, reshimmed the arm, etc. Ran the motor again with a 1.23 rollout and the dang thing ran for 10+ minutes. Even using full throttle on the straight. I don't know what it was, but all is good now

Thanks again for you help

Mr. Blackstock

hello ... I hope you can give me a few hints .. I am new to racing Mod and i just purchase a Reedy 10x1 KR ... everyone says these are the motors to get ... I read the Big Jim motor forum the other night about tuning them so I have an idea on how to make them go ... but what about a starting gearing / roll out ... I will be running a TC3 with probibly 48p gears on a medium sized outdoor track with a semi tight and technical infield with about a 140 ft straight ~10-12 ft lanes usually set up with a tight sweeper on and a wide sweeper off the straight ... any thoughts or clues as to a starting point .. I know all motors are different so I will have to play some ... I just dont want to smoke it right out of the gate ... thanks a bunch ...

Cool Electronics Info

Mike, how do you setup the wiring for your GT7? Do you use the Schottky module? If so, how do you recommend installing it? Thanks for any info!

JohnB.. Gald all is worked out.. Sometimes the motors just need a good rebuild to get them to be good.. Someitmes too much brush bounce etc can cause all them problems or the batt's might have charged wierd...

rcpaintinpete... Thanks for the offer and everything we talked about.. The guy i told you about wanted to do them and we worked a deal out and i have a new scheme that i ran at the reedy race.. But i will keep you in mind for the future.. Thanks again...

roddude65.. We ran 21-75 with a 8 turn @ the reedy race this track sounds pretty close to that .. So for a 10X1 i would say 23-24 - 75 would be a safe bet.. one thing that helped us alot was going to VERY stiff springs something like trinity silver or blacks...

aviaar.. I use the KO pds2342 Servo.. It is the best i have ever driven...

tmeeks.. I am currently running a prototype , But when i ran the GT7 i just installed it the way the directions said.. I used the schotky....

rayhuang.. LOL you are too much....

tmunno.. Sweet on the weights... Thanks .. At the preworlds we used the Protoform Mazda 6 and also at the reedy race we used the Mazda 6 .. I think the two bodies to try and that and maybe the stratus 2.0 from protoform...

Thanks again guys...

Mike have you tested the parma alfa outdoors on rubber tires and what were your conclusions?

Alos any info on the new Novak esc that has been rumored for a bit?

Thanks

Jeff Werner...I tried the parma alpha at the pre-worlds and it stuck my car too much.. it was very stable but i could not get the car to rotate enough with it..

As for a new speedo. I am not sure we have been running different stuff in testing but i am not sure what the plans are at this time...

HeY!!!

Hey mike i have a question... would you be able to help me out i have a FT TC3, and it's suddenly picked up a real bad push off power entering the turns left and right, but is just fine on power off the turn. i was running gold for front silver for rear, 40 wt. for front, 35 fo rear (traction is very low during summer), 4 degree blocks, and i'm running takeoff 27's i tryed going stiffer in rear w/ red springs, but didn't really help. i also have on the biggest sway bars i can get..... could it possibly be because i'm use to running foam where there's always alot of traction???? thanx in advanced...
