Hey man... I take it you will be racing at Horsham... I will be moving to the area soon so I have been checking out the possabilities too.... I currently race 17.5 lipo so when I move I'm going to have to either buy a new motor or buy new batteries... I am pretty sure I will just go the motor route because that is easier for me...

For you though everyone is saying that the lipos in that class are faster because of the weight diffrence but what I am curious of is if the drop off the guys are seeing in lipo make up for the weight... Because I know at my track.. we run 13.5 and 17.5 as seperate classes and now everyone has made the switch to lipo but before the nimh's had an advantage because of the drop off in voltage the lipos saw about 5 minutes in....

But I have not been to Horsham to see them race so I would say wait for one of those guys to check this thread out and tell you who they usually see in the top three and then go from there to decide if it is worth spending the extra money for the lipos stuff.... either way you can always just start off the cheaper route for you and then as you get money and buy what you need, move up if thats the case you know....

At Horsham In TC it's 17.5 2s lipo as a class and 13.5 lipo as a class-both run rubber(Jaco blue as spec tire)In either TC class I think you can run 6 cell in either class. But lipos have more volts and are lighter in a 2s pack.
In 1/12 its diff--13.5/1s lipo-or-17.5 4-cell nickle(3.7volts vs 4.8volts)

I figured it was just assumed we were talking about 1/12th in this thread... And what he needs to someone who races there and can inform him of which to get considering the competition at the track...
