for a ROAR approved LiFe pack at 4000mah, that actually doesn't even sound that bad pricewise. I mean of course its not going to be a hobbycity priced pack, but, for the track I would want to use these at, they have to be ROAR approved, and considering its a Reedy pack, the price is pretty good.

MaxAmps can be charged at 15C (67 Amp). A123 makes 10Amp charger...
We recommend a maximum charge rate of 4C.

If the Reedy packs are anything like the stuff I have had from them before, they should be very good.

Yep, I'm running only 1 battery thats fixed in my 1/12th with tape.
Performance is exactly the same time after time so you only need 1 battery

If they become ROAR approved, could be a good deal for sure.

For me, I don't see Lipos going away I think LiFe probably will gain acceptance in mod first once they show how good they are, as well as with the crowd who is looking for something new that doesn't have the worries of Lipos and can accept that they will be down on voltage versus Lipo.

For me at least, I can see benefit in that for my daughters.

I personally don't think that motor rules should be changed around for the batts, I say let them compete and shake it out.
