What steering servo is good for sedan???
 

I have an avid that i plan on racing this winter on carpet and i am in need of a steering servo. I was looking at getting a hitec but what do you guys recommend??? Thanks DJ

Futaba 9452 or 9551

I use Futaba 9351, plenty of torque and the perfect speed. I use this servo in all of my cars, 1/10 elec, 1/10 nitro sedan, 1/8 on-road and off-road. Also the brushless servo's are great.

I use Hitec servos, and they have been excellent. I have 3 seasons on my Hitec steering servos, and they have never failed me. My son now uses one of them (and he is 6). The car spends alot of time ping ponging from board to board, and still functions perfectly.

If your on a budget the Hitec 965MG is a good choice (144oz/.10) $75. I use the 5965MG Digital Vesion. ($85).

But if you want a truely amazing servo go with the HS7940TH HV Titanium model for $130.00 Its totally overkill in everyway.

If you opt for 4PK, just use Futaba servos like 9551 for best compability & speed. I got ppl using Sanwa ERG-WX after few rounds the servo burned.

+1, or if buying used to save some $, the 9550.

The are pro & cons buying used servo. It basically depends how the owner handles it. If you unlucky u might get one with stripped metal gear. Unless if you are allowed to test.
