I run my F109 on carpet with a l-cell and a 4.5. runs great and it's way fun to drive. IMO, 1cell is ideal for the F1 cars.

It does look like it fits really nice in the 104, its not to bad in the 103. I use an SMC 4000. If this gets rolling and the guys I race with aprove then I may look into getting some banana plug packs as I also run WGT and they seem to allow a little more flex than a dean's style connector wich I found is wasy easier to wire pan cars with.

At our track we run the F-1's with any combo that the driver wants to bring. Most guys run 2cell lipos. At first the majority were using 21.5's. But as the guys got used to the cars and found ways to make them hook up on the carpet, more and more motor started showing up (boys will be boys). So now some run with 17.5's, Some with 13.5's, one with a 10.5. I like to be different, so I run the 1 cell. Mostly I've been using a 10.5 and liking that combo alot. But I also don't like to be out horsepowered......hence the 4.5. To my surprise the car handles it just fine and in fact it seems to drive even better with more punch. The 1cell does fit in the car great and I really like that it's simple and cheap and there's virtually no tire wear.
