You are correct, but sometimes things can go to far and nobody gets any benefit from it. We want to be bringing new people into the hobby not chase them away. Therefore, putting a stop to a potential fire is a lot better than trying to put out one that is already started. I hope that make sense.
Don't worry Rick, he has made me cry too.

Well I purchased one of the RS this week, another one two weeks ago and one the week before that. I have seen several at the local hobby shops and offerred online. Seems available to me. I haven't even seen a BD.
Most of the racers at Mikes in Carrollton, TX are running the RS.

A lot can change in a matter of a day or 2 and all of us have watched this happen over the past weekend. Advancements in technology is something that continue to happen in our industry and over recent time we have watched the speedo technology move forward at an amazing pace. Unfortunately with this progress comes great difficulty in regulating what is acceptable to allow in Stock classes.
My responsibility as not only a track owner but also as a race promoter is to try and make our events the best possible for all ability levels and all participants. With the changes in speed control technology over the recent months, I have had to make rules to try and keep the playing field not only level but also affordable as possible. Availability of the latest technology ESC are now much better than before allowing everyone to have access to them and they are available in all price ranges.
I have decided to make the following rules for this weekend’s event with the hope of bringing the most amount of fairness to the event.
For the 17.5 Stock Sedan class, Sportsman, : We will not be allowing the Advance Energy Black Diamond ESC nor the Castle Mamba systems. You will be allowed to run Novak, LRP or Tekin but with the Tekin you are NOT allowed to run version 203. Version 200 is the latest version that will be allowed.
In 13.5, Mod, 1/12th and WGT. You will be able to run all ESC’s on the market including the AE Black Diamond, Mamba systems and Tekins WILL be allowed to run version 203.
Trans Am: You cannot run the AE BD nor the Castle Mamba. You can run the Tekin but no Turbo and a max timing of 10 Deg. For LRP ESC you can only run profiles 1-4.
And max ratio of 5.2.
I hope these rules are clear to everyone and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks
Scotty

My only issue with this is i'm running both 13.5 and 17.5 with the same car/ speedo.. I'm guessing i'll have to reset my speedo between each motor switch, every time?
I understand your stuck between a rock and a hard place Scotty. These are tough times, and there is really no right answer to the problems at hand..
