Default Losi Type R need help gearing for 17.5

I need some help. I'm putting together a Losi Type R for 17.5 rubber tire carpet racing and have no idea where to begin with gearing.

The manual doesn't go down to 17.5 in its gear chart so I went off of the suggested rollouts for 27 turn stock and I'm assuming I want something between 27 and 30mm rollout?

I'm picking up some gears today and thinking I should gear is 28/128 (64p) for a 28.97 rollout. Am I on the right track here?

I'm running a Tekin RS, and a Tekin Redline 17.5

You are way too high on your FDR. Depending on your track with a JRX-S you should be between 4.5-5.0 fdr with a tekin rs. A 120/44 will put you close to 5.0, id start there depending on your Track.

I run a JRX-S Type R with a Tekin RS and I am usually around 4.5-4.8 fdr for a small indoor track.

I'm on a 100x50 track geared at ~5.25, Tekin RS w/ Novak Ballistic 17.5, N on the motor, max timing on RS, max turbo on RS, 0.3 delay .....our track has no long infield sections, so that short delay isn't heating the motor up too much.
