Just received my MM pit light yesterday. I went with the black model. I bought it through Stormer Hobbies. So far, I'm very pleased with this product. My Ottlite (knockoff) cast a bit more light to the sides, but in the task area where I work on my car the MM pit light equal to the other lamp.

Regarding the wires, I think that the wire covers are a Silicon based material. The feel is softer and more flexible. Just a thinner version of what we use for battery to motor to ESC. I wouldn't characterize the wires as flimsy. It would be nicer if the wires were joined; similar to a lamp cord.

I removed the alligator clips and installed pins so that I could plug the light into the back of my power supply.

I also noticed that the light output seemed to be a bit brighter when connected to my power supply compared to my 5600 lipo pack.

Although these are LED's they do generate heat after extended use.

The adjustable feet on the base, make for a fairly steady lamp. However, if you adjust the lamp head to lean forward, it can become unstable.

While the MM Pit Light is a bit pricy, it is a nice alternative to heavier, bulkier and less fashionable pit lights.

This is a nice pit light, but 9 pages of chatter about a light? Ott all the way

Questions??

I have a Muchmore World Edition 2 power supply, which powers two LRP Pulsar Touch chargers. I charge my batteries at 8 amps. Can I connect the Muchmore Pit light to either set of terminals already powering a charger?

I run two chargers and the MM pit light (LEDs have very low power consumption) and also tyre warmers on the same power supply and it works fine. I only charge on 5.6amp but still should be ok.

My advice would be to try it really, it wont damage anything it will just stop one of the chargers as the input voltage drops.
Mind i am a domestic sparky not a electronics buff.
