Default core 5000mah

I have core 5000 and it has been sitting for a couple of months with a decent charge in it. I plugged it in to my F1 and it worked just fine and I did not use it but two or three blips on the throttle. I went to charge it and my charger read low voltage and will not charge my battery, I was also looking at the wires and one has a cut I do not know if it is all of the way threw the wire but maybe that is why I am getting low voltage? If I open the case can I just resolder new wire to the tabs in lipo?
