Nice AGNO!
So one of my chassis is an HPI. Would not have guessed it!

My sons and I ran our three TA01/02 rally cars today on some park trails in Michigan. They had a blast. (biggest quarrel was who got to run in front )

Just 80secs of consecutive pics. Best one is 40 secs in!

Hi all, new to the forums. Just wanted to say that the TA02 is still my favorite chassis. I have one set up for rallye, an RS using TA01 arms to get a short wheelbase running a Lamborghini Countach body, and an FF01 that handles better than other FF03's (though it has a 10.5t motor to keep up). Keep the classics alive!

Had the TA02 rally car out today. The snow on the roads was nicely packed down and made for great fun. As a bonus, I'm pretty sure my electronics survived as well!

Default Winter racing

We had two of three of our TA02s out winter rallying in 6 inches of snow on the driveway three weeks ago.
Has been nothing but ice last few weeks though.
Blew through a spur gear and set of stock knuckles.
It's rough on components when it's 15.

You know you can cobble the chassis together from NOS bits floating around the interwebs. Might take a bit of effort, but I have noticed they're not that rare (or expensive). I have quite a few lying about the place and an old Taisan kit in box.

Tamiya also released (in the past) special editions of the TA01/02 with all chassis parts in one colour like fluoro green, yellow and white from what I have seen. Not sure these came as kits or what and whether they made it out of Japan though. I have a full fluoro green TA01 Celica GT-Four.

I just picked up an FF01 roller with the frp chassis, a full set of turnbuckles, and aluminum shocks. Bought it on eBay for $77 all in. It was listed as a TT01. I'm pretty excited, as this will be my first frp chassis version. I plan on swapping the chassis into my TA02RS. As a bonus, I get a bunch of (what look like) excellent condition FF01 parts!
