Brushed motor ratings

Good day!

I got started racing this year with 1/10th stock touring outdoor and now I am racing 1/12 with 27 turn brushed indoor. I would like to know what the differance is between a high rpm motor and a high tourque motor and how do you tell by looking at the armatures, cans and end caps what is what? I have been told the diferance is the armature but I dont know how to identify them.

Thanks

Best way to learn about a motor is a dyno.

Co27 (blue can - 41mm Rollout) is a torque motor, Black can is a RPM (37mm Roll Out) . The Silver motor with Purple end bell (Hand out Monstor Stock 40mm Rollout) is a great motor, torque, but with good RPM.

Technically your shouldnt be swapping parts around between different motors, but if you want to experiment, PM me here, or on the IROCC site, and I will let you borrow my dyno for the Xmas holidays.

Shawn.
