The Rb50 has Turbo yes but there releasing a new esc atm called the RB-S for the stock spec motors with a "twin turbo" feature. GT2 lpf doesnt and I would get the GT 2.0 not the lpf.

If you are running stock you won't notice any advantage running the 2.0 pro to running the 2.0 lpf.

They are working on new software that has a turbo (for lack of a better term) but at present you can't set when it kicks in. I am currently running it and it pretty good but I still have a lot of testing to do.

I can't speak for the other speedo but I know they are always working on software.

I wouldn't say may car was the fastest out there but it definately wasn't the slowest!

I can pick up more time by improving my driving than I can by changing speedo's

thanx guys...

and anotherrcguy you got a point with driving improvement..but if somebody can drive he's not going anywhere with just a regular speed control i know you know that.. a little boost will help.AND will make soo much advantage.. specially in stock spec class..

Yes I agree, when you get to a certain point every 1/10th helps!
I am currently geared with my SpeedPassion LPF 2.0 at a 5.8 FDR and I truly believe if I go to a 6 or maybe a little higher it will help the turbo kick in a little quicker. That is what I am being told so I will be doing some more testing as soon as the rain stops here in Florida!

I don't think you can go to wrong with any speedo that can be updated via software. Speedpassion, etc.

Between the 2 i would say the Speedpassion as its more reliable.
Have seen plenty RB50's die and give problems.

Go for the new TeamWave RB-S when it comes out real so. It will decimate what you thought was good from your SPX.

stay away from LPF.

A mod motor will fry it.
It cant handle the lowest suggested turns either.

That is correct a low turn mod motor will destroy a LPF.
A LPF is designed for guys who don't run mod and don't want to spend the extra money .

A LPF has a motor limit of 5.5, you can't go below a 5.5 with an LPF
The PRO can go down to a 2.5
In tourning car I run 13.5 and in 4wd off road I run a 7.5 so why spend the extra money on the pro if you are never going to use it!

The programmer box that the speedcontrol comes with can only be used to adjust the settings on the speedo, If you want to update the firmware you would need to get the LCD Programming Box (SPALCD01)
You can purchase from anywhere that carries the speedo's. If you have questions a good person to talk to is Adam at Schumacher in Tampa he is very helpful and is usually on top of the latest firmware.
I run different versions in different speedo's.
I run the newest in my touring car running 13.5 and I run an older version in my 4wd off road buggy.

I don't know if I am answering the question totally correct.
The controller says 26.25 degrees but I think that is what the new firmware is doing is just throwing more timing at the motor but it is not something I am adjusting it is the programming doing it.

I took a pic of my two programmers so you can see what they look like. The one on top comes with speedo and one on bottom is optional.

I have added a couple of close ups to the programmer so you see all the adjustment possibilities. I used to run LRP and I never changed anything cause it just wasn't easy, this couldn't be easier, It takes me 20 seconds to make adjustments and I don't need a computer with me to do it!
