There shouldn't be a problem without it, I currently run my 10turn with the diode soldered to the motor and don't see a reason why on the tabs wouldn't work

it is better to run with it, you will never know when accidents occur.

it protects the esc from current coming back from the motor when the brakes engages or coming off throttle

Hi guys,

Need some advise regarding the power capacitor wiring.
I need to replace the power cap, but
1) can I wire to the solder tab outside, similar to GTX
2) do I need to wire back to the tab inside the casing as provided?
