Default RC ADVENTURES: TAMIYA TT01R DRIFT CAR VIDEO BUILD THREAD

Hello my R/C Friends!

It is project time again! After pairing with Team Eastridge for this project - I have put my focus into learning how to drift. I have never raced before.. but Ive always liked the look of the TT01 series. Its time to step it up.. and build an electric on-road high performance race car.. heh heh heh I think we should go large or go home.. lmao.

So I'm starting this video build thread... this should track my progress over the next few weeks. Those who want to follow along are welcome to join in the adventure.

Feedback is always welcome! Enjoy Everyone!

I posted some comments on the Youtube videos.

Anyway I really like your videos, they are really well done and in HD too!

They should be very helpful for some hobbyists out there.

I'd like to see more videos like the one you did but with different chassis like TA05 or M chassis. Maybe you should make a poll so people could vote on which chassis to hop-up next? I would love to see a video on a hopped-up VW Bettle M04-L.

I must admit that this video si very nicely done and also good introduction into things.
I just wouldn't use so many alloy parts. Seeing binding heavy alloy suspension - something must be wrong in my opinion. I also don't think that 40C lipo is something what average drifter needs. So maybe make next time more sensible car for newbie or average driver?
Definitely keep making new videos.

Thats sweet bro.. thanks for chimin' in ... A VW Beetle hey.. ill see what i can do... And polling seems to be a good idea indeed.. but do you take a poll when you are thinking about buying a new rc? lol.. I just happen to film my builds for you guys to see. I do like the idea though.. maybe i'll pick 5 i want to do. and then see which one people like most.. in fact... that was a brilliant suggestion. Thanks for your support watching and commenting!

Hey Loch.. thanks for commenting... Im not sure if you know this (dont know why you would), but my video build series are always about excess.. I never do anything "plain" or stock.. I like to bling the heck out of the projects.. If you watch the tt01r series.. it is explained in the beginning the first vid that this car is not meant to be functional.. its supposed to be ridiculous and above whats needed.. Now comes the fun part.. Ill use it over the spring summer.. and see how it ends up with all the tuning...

ridiculous? mission accomplished.. lmao

You can hardly beat one of the drivers I know - he modded his TA05 to the extreme - he replaced all parts except belts with tuning parts. Was damn expensive car but it ran well also in modified class. Anyway it had all tuning parts for performance purpose It was definitely most expensive and ridiculous TC I've ever seen

Sure my friend..

i use a combination of 2 different HD cams..

Sony HRD UX5 HD (Portable)

Canon XHA1s HD (Main)

I also use a secondary JVC HD Cam to capture the multiple angles. Im no pro.. just an enthuz'd hobbyist =)

just got around to watching the vids and i must say. its top notch! The speedpassion equipment and the rugged chassis of a tt01 and medics building knowledge led to one hell of a good vid. its his first venture into on road anything! i believe that he did a great job in showcasing the product and is own skills as a videographer!

good job dude! cant wait till a T3 is built!!
