Default New to onroad cars, what to get

what is the most popular on-road car? i have been into truck for years, and just want an onroad car to mess around with, i wont be racing anyone so i just want to get a couple of good ones.

do you want 1/10 scale, 1/8 scale, 1/12 scale? gas or electric?

Add to that linup 1/5 scale and 1:1 scale cars.

probably 1/10 in electric or nitro. what do you guys all run? i have all the equipment for both. i just want to mess around with it.

Well I have a barracuda r2 but that's overkill if you just want to mess around. If you want to bash why not get a tmax or a similar nitro truck? They can go more places any onroad car can and might be more fun for you.

If ur going to nitro, try getting a Yokomo GT-4 2 or if ur going to electric try getting a Team Associated TC3

mi2 is great, i got me one. but a bit of an overkill for "bashing"
maybe the mi2 s1 would be a good choice.

O kay. These guys are giving you personal preferences which is going to happen, but you're going to want ease of use, parts availibility, easy to work on, and low cost. For electric, I would say an Associated TC3 rtr or Losi XXXs. There are other great cars, but not all fill all these categories.
Nitro: Associated NTC3 or HPI.
I'm a Yokomo fan myself, but if you just want to mess around, get a big reliable, reputable company; I wouldn't, but I'm not messing around. I like particular things, and I want something a little different for racing.
