Default rotor in my novak 5800

i'm looking to replace the rotor in my BL motor to something stronger but i ran into a little snag. to go with the novak parts i need to get a rotor AND a front bell to do this.

looking online i noticed that the speedpassion and the EPIC rotors "look" very similar to mine. (its the gray one with the brass bushings at each end and the 1/8" shaft all the way thru.) will one of these rotors fit or do i have to go the way of the novak? help

Rotors from different manufacturers are not interchangeable.

just get a rotor, they fit. we did it with a 13.5 with the smooth can. you just dont get a better bearing like the newer cans

Yes it is true, on this motor you would need the endbell too. All of the Sintered Novak rotors of that time use a bearing with larger ID, and the endbell would need to fit the larger bearing.

I have one that I put the rotor into. It was the original brushless system from Novak, and was a package motor and speeder.

As for exchanging parts between other MFR's. Not legal, and not sure of sizes, but would not likely fit.

Good luck
