Where can I buy CS electonics motor brushes on the net
Does anyone know where you can buy them on the net? I am having trouble finding anywhere
thanks Mike |
Have you tried their website ?? I believe they have an online store. Also a list of dealers. www.cs-electronic.com. Good Luck
|
Hi Mike, if you have no luck...try Metro Hobbies in Melbourne...they stock them and can most likely ship to you.
03 9890 1144 ask for Peter...tell him I sent you. |
btw..these brushes are amazing..very heat resiliant...and last 40+ runs in a 9x2 mod (Ti fantom)..without performance dropoff!
I love em! I was getting 4 runs per com cut yesterday...motor tuned for max performance. |

Are you talking about the powermax Hard, dual shunt or high silvers? The high silvers are dam expencive. 9.90 euro a pair...
|
Michael,
I've dealt with CS directly through their website(bought a spacecharger a few years back) and they are pretty on to it as far as sending things to NZ. |

What are the best brushes to get in Laydown form???
I tried to get Silvers but they don't seem to make em in laydown form. Its not for a hugely modded motor, just a 19T Peak Dynasty. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
f.alonso: Buy the CS High silvers and find someone with a Trinity brush factory or something to cut them to laydown..
On GM motors, with their hardest springs, you can probably get up to 50 runs before truing... I'd like to keep it down to 30 or something... |
itchynads - Dam that's sweet. If I used them for stock I'd save a bucket load of cash.
Anybody know a CS dealer in the US. The CS website sucks. |
I was talking to CS and there distributor is Schumacher if im not wrong(but dont quote me on that).
|
True R/C Racing: You are very right!
|
40 runs? I think that sounds very exaggerated.... I won't believe it until I see it.
|
I'm testing the brushes right now and so far I have run 24 or 25 packs on the same set of brushes. Last time I trued the comm and inspected the brushes were after 15 packs. I'll report back after I've rebuilt the motor again.
|
Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated.
|
see for yourself...
glad I dont have to change brushes every 2 runs in my mods now. previously I used Actron and quazar brushes...2 runs and they were toast when used for competition. work it out...40+ runs on C.S, compared to 20 sets of brushes... performance has been identicle ..the car is just as quick |
I can only say the same about the powerMax silver brushes.
I´m using them quite a while now in my Reedy Ti 9x2 and Fantom 9x2 (for 12th sclae)and they work great: maximum output and lasting very long. They are also great for touring cars. For me this is one of the best if noit THE best brush I´ve ever used. Gotta love it ! |
I also get 40-50 runs between com cuts with the CS high silver powermax brushes. They are great!
Lots of power and long life, almost to good to be true... |
it surprising that these brushes arent more commonly used if they are so good.
now youve got me curious, i will have to buy a modmotor and try them out. |
I find it hard to believe that you can run 40-50 packs without cutting the comm, at least without losing performance. However it might be possible to use the brushes for 40-50 packs before replacing them.
Keep in mind though, that here in Europe we have a 12 turn motor limit. |
so the comm needs cutting regularly still?

Just buy them from the CS electronics site. I easily purchased mine last night with my credit card.

From the looks of it, they dont make a laydown set for stockers :(
|
To all of you that don't believe it....!
Well, all the people that have tried these brushes say exactly the same. These brushes are amazing, but it depends on how you set up your motor... I always put on superhard springs and lots of timing, and yay(!!) I'm ready to go for the next 40 packs... @Airwide: Hur e läget? Remember we have the 12-turn limit in Norway too, these brushes are insane even with a bit milder modifieds... It's said to be great for stockracing too..... @Hobbipro: Ever heard of the Trinity Brush factory? Anyways, some racer at your local track probably has a brush serrator, ask him to help you cutting the brushes to laydown... |
What is concidered stock over there? 23T, with stand up brushes? I'd love to get a set of these in laydown configeration.

What I meant was that people might not be able to get the same lifetime out of the brushes if they are running 8 turn motors. |
@Airwide: I get ya :D
@Hobbipro: It's Roar spec 27 turns over here too... full roar rules: D |
Is there a translation button to click on ?On there website?:weird:
|
Yes, on the front page almost at the top you'll see the british flag. Click on it for English pages.
Ariel, Schumacher USA used to be the US distributor. No longer though. What a shame, they make one of the best ESC's I've ever used. |
