Anybody have experience using this combo?
Most importantly, what kind of advantage, if any, can this combo give someone?
Does it have better performance than a stock ballistic 17.5T?

Looking forward to hearing from anybody.
thx
We have Ballistics, not B-A-Bs, with ceramic bearings and the +1300 rotor in two winds (13.5 and 17.5):

Build-A-Ballistic™ 550s

We have updated the Kv ratings for all the winds we offer in our custom B-A-B 550 program. We have added the Kv with our 14mm rotor installed for 4x4 SCTs; (Kvs for the standard 12.3mm rotor in parentheses):

·* 4.5T: 3,850 Kv (5,000)
·* 5.5T: 2,850 Kv (3,700)
·* 6.5T: 2,600 Kv (3,400)
·* 7.5T: 2,300 Kv (3,000)
·* 5.5T: 1,900 Kv (2,500)
·* 5.5T: 1,730 Kv (2,250)
·* 5.5T: 1,420 Kv (1,850)
·* 5.5T: 1,230 Kv (1,600)

We will be offering Ballistic 550s with the 14mm rotors installed; but, in the meantime finished motors with this tuning rotor may be ordered above.

Bob Novak: The Kv of the 14 mm 550 rotor is 0.77 times the Kv of the standard rotor. So if the Kv is 5000 (4.5 t) with the standard rotor then it will be 3850 for the 14mm rotor etc. Also racers should gear up their vehicles by a factor of 1.3. Therefore, if one was using a 16 tooth pinion, they should increase this by 16x1.23=19.68. Rounding this down to a safe starting pinion gear of 19 teeth.
