Default Whats everybody's WGT setup?

Thought Id get a thread started to see what everybody is running in their WGT. Im not 100% set with mine as I need an ESC and a body but maybe I can glean some helpful info in the meanwhile through this as well. I have a CRC Pantoura and a LRP Vector X11 13.5 brushless motor. I was originally going to set it up for 4C before the change to 1S LiPo at the IIC in 2009 and Snowbirds in 2010.

Chassis: BMI DB10R
Speedo: SP GT LPF 1.1 for now, Tekin RS Pro on the way
Motor: Novak Ballistic 17.5T which I think I might have overheated with a terribly wrong gearing in it's first runs (~120C), so I have ordered a fresh Tekin Redline together with the speedo.
Battery: Intellect 2S 4200mAh 30C saddle
Servo: Futaba S9650
Radio: Sanwa M11

@trackdesigner. When are you going to race? I read for almost 2 years now that your planning to race the pantoura. You can buy a second hand esc for not so much and go driving/racing, even with old sub c cells. A body isn't that much either.

@ Uga
Be sure to monitor the temps of the tekin redline closely. You don't want to get it above 70 degrees celcius otherwise the motor fades noticeble while driving. It doesn't have cooling holes so the temps inside the can are even higher. I basicly destroyed a brand new 10.5t in one day when it got 91 degrees celcius. Speed was great in the beginning though , 85-88km/h (55m/h) on a track with roughly 100 meter straight (330 ft). I never got that same speed again after that.

anyway....

I know 2wdrive...it bothers me more and more as the days and months go by. Money has always been the biggest obstacle and once that isnt an issue its finding time to go back home (they are running a WGT class at a track about 20 minutes from my house in Portsmouth but I live in Lynchburg now. the nearest track I can think of other than that is up near Northern VA and MD).

There are plenty of setup sheets (for all types of cars) that you can pick from on this page --> www.petitrc.com/_forumphp/sheet.php

Default WGT Servo

I am going to run WGT for the first time, I am building the car with the Futaba 9650 servo, thats what I ran in my 1/12th scale. Will that work for my WGT or do I have to use a full size servo?

I agree also, that much of the info out there is out-dated. I know the cars havent changed much, but figured guys may have learned some new strategies having been able to put alot of track time under a platform that hasnt changed.
