These secondary crashes are called "sympathy" crashes...he, he... Do it all the time...

At Hobby World In Jax FL we call the secondary crashes "chicken bones". I have no idea how that phrase came into being but it's actually used for all these situations (crashing when, someone says be smooth, someone else crashes, there isn't another car on the same lap as you let alone w/in 10 feet)
