I think I was the first one that ran a production model in a race in TC and it was 17.5 the only other people to do it gave theres back to the people that they borrowed it from. I gained .3 to .4 a sec so did the others. they are rated for 10.5 2S but I'm not going to test one with that till I get another to back it up. but as I'm going to snowbirds I'll probably put my 13.5 in it and test with it. it didn't get at all warm with the 17.5 maybe 120 so I figure that running 13.5 in it should be fine but I don't know of anybody putting a 10.5 in it to run so far. it made a difference in 10.5 WGT but that is 1S

Speaking of Cleveland, when will you be updating your site (rc50)?

Looking on the website am I right in thinking there is a version which will do down to 3t on 2s as well, eg a mod version one?

Does anyone know the profiles yet, it mentions timing advance but presumably in mod you'd not want to run this, so can it be turned off?

Finally, are there recommended motors to use with them?

With a 17.5 in 1/12 scale (1s LiPo), I'm using a HobbyKing booster (basically the same as the TQ one) without issues. Works fine.

Have you gone head to head with a Tekin 203? Does the BD still have the advantage?

I haven't yet. I do have both, so I can compare directly. I have run both (BD and RS 203) in my TC and they are very very close. They both make a 17.5 run like a 13.5.

I will say that the BD is much simpler to set up. For stock, just pick profile 5 and change gearing, with the option setting of drag brake. The Tekin gives you a lot of knobs to twist, but the trick is what setting each one needs to be set to, plus gearing.

So you can say that the speedo's are almost the same.
Than racing is back to the best driver and not on who has the fastest speedo as they are about the same speed.

AE is like the LRP. easy to setup but you can update it and the LRP not.
An advantage of the AE above the LRP and I heard that the SXX is still slower than the AE.

the best thing to do if you are anxious for a black diamond is to keep a close eye on the teamCRC website. They are pretty good about posting updates and I'm quite sure that they will announce the arrival date as soon as they have confidence in it (just as they did with their first "for sale" batch of BD speedos). You could also try emailing [email protected] (see their "contact us" link for his email address). He's a helpful guy.
