are all hard case lipo packs roar approved?
 

hey guys i am not new to the hobby by any means (26 years exp.) but i am new to the lipo and racing part of it and i just bought an integy 2s 35c hard case and they could not answer me if it was race approved instead they taol me to buy one that was $60 more that the batt that i purchased that one i bought was $65 (great price) also are they all safe? thanks in advanced for the input

Not all hard cased are approved. This is the list of approved.

i'm not trying to cut into a thread but what makes a lipo roar approved or not?
do they do it on weight, size, c rating's? material the the case and batterys are constructed of?

There is a lot of criteria including size, capacity, safety, availability and many other things. See section 8.3 starting on page 32:

Go to www.roarracing.com. Under approvals on lipos. You have the list of lipo's legal to run for ROAR racing & is probable that local clubs uses the same ruling. DL rulebook to see what is done for approval with ROAR.

Lipo's come in different prices. Stay with approved lipo.
